Badiyah also has the oldest mosque of the United Arab Emirates.
This microscopic mosque was probably built towards the end of the 15th century, but the legend tells that a disciple of the prophet himself came here to establish it in the year 640! The mosque is still used as a place of worship; impossible to enter for an "infidel" like me! |
